The Chiles High School Girls Junior Varsity soccer team came up short against the Niceville High School Girls Junior Varsity team, losing by a final score of 4-1 on Saturday at Chiles High School. The Timberwolves started fast, controlling possession and earning an early goal by Elizabeth Duke who finished a corner kick taken by McKenna Swartzman. However, the Lady Wolves appeared to tire as the game went on while playing their third game in as many days and struggled to handle the visitors’ midfield possession tactics and offensive speed as a result. The Timberwolves fought hard on defense and received strong contributions from Julia Pagan, Baylee Bourdeau, Jayd Derickson, Sydney Blakeney and others. Courtney Pater had another solid game in goal for the Wolfpack and ended with 4 saves. For the match, Niceville held a 14-9 advantage in total shots over Chiles.
