Using a quick strike offense and an oportunistic defense, Godby defeated Chiles 20-0 in a district match-up Thursday night at Godby. Godby scored on its first drive on a fourth down pass from Kaylene Colburn to Gisele Jones from 36 yards out. That combination hooked up again in the second quarter on the last play of the half from 26 yards while Colburn threw her third touchdown pass of the game in the third quarter to Armarni Williams. Colburn also ran for two extra points after the second and third scores. The Timberwolves offense did move the ball on several possessions, though the drives stalled on penalties. Talia Miller lead Chiles with six flag pulls and two passes defensed while Bailey Kay Ragans chipped in with a sack and two tackles for loss. Chiles plays its home opener Wednesday night vs. Florida High.
