Lead by the running of the 2018 All Big Bend Player of the Year, Janae Scott, the Florida High Seminoles rallied past the Chiles Timberwolves 14-7 in a flag football game played Wednesday night at Chiles. The Timberwolves took the ball all the way to the end zone for the first score of the game on their first possession as Sam Wilson found Lawton Campbell in the corner of the end zone. Molly Hennessy converted the extra point on a reception from Wilson. The two teams traded drives for more than two quarters with each club intercepting a pass and having drives stall deep in enemy territory. Eraly in the fourth quarter, Scott took a quarterback run 59 yards for Florida High’s first score. Jada Rhodes caught the conversion pass from Kyndall Thomas to tie the game. Following a Chiles punt, Florida High drove for the winning score as Thomas caught a 12 yard pass from Scott with 52 seconds remaining. Scott ran for the conversion. Chiles was lead defensively by Freshman Bailey Kay Ragans who had a school record 15 flag pulls to go along with her five tackles for loss, two sacks, and two quarterback pressures. Talia Miller chipped in with three passes defensed.
